Carol Earlene Passmore, 71, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at her home in Hominy, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Hominy, OK, on October 8, 1945, to James G. and Mary Surritte. She graduated from Hominy High School in 1963. She attended Bartlesville Tri-County Vo-Tech, and graduated in 1976, as a LPN. She worked at the Hominy City Hospital, Pawhuska Indian Health Clinic, and Pawnee Indian Health Clinic. She enjoyed working in nursing homes, and caring for the elderly. At the age of 48, she returned to Bartlesville Weseleyan College, graduating in 1996 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She worked at Dick Conners Correctional Center and retired from the Cleveland Hospital.

Carol married Pat Passmore, on December 9, 1962. She loved spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she loved to read and knit items for her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe. Carol and Pat looked forward to going to the Otoe-Missouria Encampment in Red Rock, OK, every summer. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hominy. Her most fond memories are walking to church with her brother, sisters and parents.

Carol is survived by her husband, Pat Passmore, of the home, three sons, Patrick Passmore of Mountain Air, New Mexico, Gail Passmore, of Hominy, Joshua, and wife Crystal Passmore, of Hominy, one daughter, Penney and husband Jasin Johnson, of Hominy, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, sister Jane Stewart of Muskogee, OK, sister-in-law, Carolyn Surritte of Owasso, OK, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James G. and Mary Surritte, daughter, Whitney Jeane Passmore, brother, Ronnie Surritte, and sister Joyce Wallace.

The family held a private memorial service for Carol.
