Betty Octavia Martin

Betty Octavia Martin, 78 years, of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at her residence in Hominy, Oklahoma.

Betty was known for her biscuits and gravy at family breakfast. She was a homebody but that being said, she was a defender of all her children. Betty was one of the biggest Trump supporters you’d ever get the pleasure of knowing. Family meant everything to Betty, she was the best mother, very loving sister, and a wonderful grandma. After the passing of her husband 10 years ago, her son, Thomas “Tommy” decided to be by her side and show support for his mom. She will be dearly missed by many.

Betty is survived by: son, Thomas Walton of Hominy, Oklahoma; daughters, Gerldine Alves and Sharon Walton of Modesto, California; sisters, Mary Martin of Hominy, Oklahoma and Karen Moody of Ada, Oklahoma; as well as ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by: husband, Elmo Martin; son, James Walton; brother, James Glascox; sister, Myrtis Page.

Musical selections were: “Dancing in the Sky” by Danny and Lizzy, “Phone in Heaven” by Michael Manuel, “In the Garden” by Anne Murray, “Grandma Song” by Barry Brown.
