Barbara Yvonne Taylor Obituary Barbara Yvonne Taylor, age 73 of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away January 4, 2009 at Owasso, Oklahoma. Barbara was born June 26, 1935 to David Franklin and Muriel (Oaks) Mount at Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She attended Collinsville Public Schools. Barbara married Alvin Clayton Taylor on November 28, 1953 at Claremore, Oklahoma; Alvin preceded her in death on June 24, 2007. Barbara moved to Hominy in 1972. She worked for the Hominy First National Bank as a Bank Teller before retiring. She is survived by two daughters- Pam Garrett and husband David of Miami, Oklahoma, Kim Greenhalgh and husband Dennis of Galt, California; one son- David A. Taylor of Ft. Myers, Florida; three grandsons- Stephen, Kristopher and wife Kyleigh, and Markus; one brother- Wendell Mount of Hominy; two sisters- Norma Whiteside of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Anita Mount of Claremore, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvin, two sisters- Emogene and Sheryl. Funeral services for Barbara were Friday, January 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Hominy with Rev. Carl Brown officiating. Casket Bearers were Alan Mount, Dennis Greenhalgh and Steve Pitts. Interment in the Ridge Lawn Cemetery at Collinsville, Oklahoma was under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy.
