Ancil DeWayne Davis, 82 years, of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his home in Hominy.

Ancil was born in Hominy on February 9, 1934 to Clyde and Bertha (Sizemore) Davis. He graduated high school in 1953, and went on to serve four years in the United States Navy. He worked in sales for Leo Maxwell Company, in Oklahoma City before returning to Hominy. Eventually he became owner of Ancil's D-X Service Station which he operated for 25 years.

On April 15, 1957, he married his sweetheart, Sue Lambert. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hominy and he taught Sunday school and served as deacon for several years.

Ancil is survived by: his wife, Sue; his son, Rocky Davis; and one daughter, Ronda Jones. He leaves a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Ancil is preceded in death by: his parents; his son, Randy; and one brother, John Young.

Private services were held at the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy. Powell
