Alice Mae Neighbors

Alice Mae Neighbors was born to Della & Nick Nichols on October 13, 1928 in Hominy, Oklahoma.  She lived most of her life in Hominy but moved to Spiro, Oklahoma fifteen years ago to be near two of her daughters. After graduating high school she worked for her father at Nick’s Café in Hominy.  Years later she was employed at the Long Branch Hotel and had the reputation of cooking the best steaks in town. Alice was also employed at Hominy City Hospital as a Nurse Aide & Operating Room Technician and the State of Oklahoma Health Department in Osage and Pawnee Counties. Alice loved to fish, cook, make quilts, and visit with family & friends.  She was a Lifetime Member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Hominy and made & donated several quilts for fundraising events.   Alice is loved by many and will be cherished in our hearts forever.
