Alfred Cornelius "AC" Martin, 92 years, of Drumright, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Cimarron Pointe Care Center in Mannford, Oklahoma.

AC was born on November 24, 1925 near Wynona, Osage County, Oklahoma to Arthur Charles and Alice (Swank) Martin. He was raised and educated in Wynona. He then entered the United States Navy on March 20, 1944 and served on the USS White Marsh stationed at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He received the following commendations for his service: the Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal-1 star, and the Philippine Liberation Campaign Ribbon. AC married Willa Lee Dilley on October 19, 1946 and worked as an oilfield pumper for Mapco. AC retired in 1987 and made his home in Mannford and then Drumright. He loved to fish and hunt, but his family was the most important to him.

AC is survived by: his daughter, Deanna Parris and her husband, Rick, of Mannford, OK; 3 sons: Harold Martin and his wife, Kathy, of Skiatook, OK; Gary Martin and his wife, Judi, of Wynona, OK, Nelson Martin of Drumright, OK; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

AC is preceded in death by: his wife, Willa, who passed on June 29, 1995; his daughter Marilyn Guffey; his son, Arthur Charles Martin; his parents, Arthur and Alice Martin; 1 brother and 4 sisters.

The funeral service was held on 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 16, 2018, graveside at A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors performed by Gondles-Butler VFW Post 7977 from Skiatook, Oklahoma. Don Brascum officiated.
