Aileen Elizabeth Hope Davis went to be with our Lord and Savior March 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Hobert Ohse Davis in August of 1972, parents Ella Cornue Hope and Roy Elmer Hope, brothers Lloyd Hope, Vernon Hope, sisters Evelyn Wilkerson and Anita Sarale. Aileen is survived by her daughter Joyce Aileen Freeman and husband Jim Freeman of Pawnee, brother Glen Hope of Stillwater, brother Richard Hope and wife Sandy of Woodward, Ok, brother John Hope and wife Lisa of Greenville, Tenn. Grandchildren Robbyn Hines and husband Bradley, great grand- daughter Ava Hines of Venice, Ca. Grandson Dr. Travis Foxx and wife Whitney, great grandchildren Brock, Beckham, Addia and Kate of Overland Park, Kansas. Granddaughter, Bree Leggett and husband Gary, great grandchildren Macy, Gavin and Chance of Yukon, Ok. Nieces Gayla Borthick and husband Mike of Bristow, Ok, Candy Weaver and husband Dwayne of Turlock, Ca. Nephews Donnie Hope, of Ripley, Ok, Bobby Hope and wife Carol of Dinuba, Ca. Jeff and Kathy Hope of Ripley, Ok, Lanetta Gunter of Greenville, Tenn. Aileen graduated from Norfolk high school in May of 1941 as Salutatorian. She was on the high school basketball team, track team, in theater and many other school activities. She loved every day of school and always attended high school reunions to keep in touch with her classmates. In November of 1941 Aileen and Hobert Davis were married in Pawnee where they remained until 1951 when they moved to Kansas. Hobert was employed by Ramon Horn in the oil fields around Lawrence, Kansas and Coop fertilizer plant in Lawrence and Aileen worked for Moore Real estate company and sold insurance until she got a job with the United States Post office where she worked as personnel secretary for many years until the death of her husband, Hobert. Upon his death she moved to Pawnee and transferred to the post office in Tulsa where she later retired from in 1981 after 22 years. After retiring from the Post office, Aileen worked for Vic Bruns at the Farm Bureau insurance office in Pawnee. Aileen and daughter, Joyce and son in law, Jim, owned and operated the Pawnee Flower shop for eleven years.
